No objection: self discipline is vital in reaching our success. But most of us bear in our mind this vision of discipline: sacrifice, strain and difficulty. It has to be so hard? Below are three less discomfort ways to discipline for success: 1. Changing our mind toward discipline. Our common reaction is that discipline consists of unpleasant activities, so we tend to put those activities aside until we feel pleasant to deal with them. Instead, try to focus on the sense of accomplishment we gain when we finished the task. Affirming our self how great we'll feel when we conquer the challenge. What are the images we hold of our self? Are those mental pictures about our self reflecting what we really want for our life? It is very important for us to take notice of our self-images because they can support or weaken our efforts to success. If we feel pride and confidence of our self-images it’s mean we have a positive self-images. Then we have to continue to nurture those images. But if we feel that a change is needed to align with a better self-images that we desire, then an immediate way to begin is to figure out what change is needed and make a commitment to take action on it. Remaining on our present state is not an option. While we take action day by day to make the change, we refine our visualization of our self-images as detail as possible. Don't Use Negative Statements

Many times in our life we go through circumstances that persuade us to give up. In such times we are tempting to make negative statements about our selves, about other people or about the situation: “I’m a loser, my boss s___s, and this is the most terrible time in my life.” I know it is hard to say something good or nice when something bad happen to us. But making negative statements give us negative mental attitude that will take us far from the solution. Most peak performers in life, whether in business or in sports, refuse to use negative statements. Because they know, by their experiences, negative statements will take them nowhere then down. They know that negative statements will only make them negative persons and negative persons never reach the peak. Words precede results.

Focus On Positive Thoughts

Focus on positive thoughts means that we focus on something we prefer to happen or to have. We often hear something like this: “We must focus on positive thoughts, not on negative thoughts”. Everyone should agree about that. Why? First, because positive thoughts make us feel better than negative thoughts. Second, because positive thoughts will attract another positive thoughts and negative thoughts will bring another negative thoughts. The accumulation of positive thoughts will increase our self potential while accumulated negative thoughts just overwhelming us. But it is not that easy to always focus on positive thoughts. What will happen if we focussing our mind consistently on what we want? The tendency is we will get it. It happens because when we focussing our mind it will creates images (something like pictures, sounds, feelings, even smells and/or tastes) of what we want. The way that those images are made up will be different from one person to another but, however, we all do. Those images will be taken by our subconcious mind, then it start figuring out how to get them. Over time, if we persistence focussing our mind on one thing, we will find that we obtaining the thing we have been imaging, step by step.

Wrong Focus Wrong Images

Use your mind power to focus on what you want and avoid focussing on what you don't want. Why? Because your subconscious mind doesn't understand the word "not", so If you focus on "not being A", it will going to form images of "being A". Your subconscious mind will take those images of A and gets you what you've shown it -- A. So if you want to be B and don't want to be A, don't focus on "not being A", rather focus on "being B". Unless, you will get what you don't want!
